Job Position: HOME SUPPORT WORKER (DISABLED CARE)
Location: Glenashton Drive, Oakville ON L6H-4C1
Work Experience: 1 year
Education: Secondary School plus CPR or First Aid
Shift: 6am – 9am & 3pm – 7:00pm (35 hours per week)
Skills Required: Care and supervise young disabled woman. Assistance with personal hygiene and grooming. Assistance with getting dressed. Accompany to and from school. Engage her in activities following her schedule. Provide adult supervision in parents absence. Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals, Provide care and companionship. Engage her in conversations. Perform health-related duties such as medication reminders (if required) Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds. Good communication and decision-making skills and organization are essential. Must be flexible and patient.
Salary: $16.00-$16.50 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime pay at 1.5 times employee’s regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends
