Job Position: HOME SUPPORT WORKER – Passero Family
Location: Arbour Glen Drive, St. Catherines Ont
Work Experience: 1 year / Language: English
Education: Secondary School plus CPR or First Aid
Shift: 8am – 11am and 4pm -7pm (30 hours per week) Days off with 2 days off
Skills Required: Personal hygiene and grooming. Assistance with getting dressed. Administer bedside and personal care. Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals, Shop for food and household supplies. Accompany elder for walks and to all activities, weather permitting. Make appointments and give reminders. Maintain schedule and accompany elder to all appointments and activities. Provide care and companionship. Engage elderly in conversations. Perform health-related duties such as medication reminders (if required) Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds. Good communication and decision-making skills and organization are essential. Must be flexible.
Salary: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime pay at 1.5 times employee’s regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends
