Looking for a full time In Home Caregiver to work in a home located at Richmond Road Victoria BC.The main responsibility is focusing primarily on assisting my mother on her Activities of daily living. She is 84 years of age with mild stage dementia. She needs care for bathing,dressing,grooming,meal preparation and also feeding. She is easily redirectable when confusion arises.She uses walker and wheelchair for ambulation.I am looking for someone who is trustworthy,caring,patient and gentle with tone and manner most especially with the care since my mother has difficulty in following instructions and gets confuse most of the time. The caregiver must have adequate knowledge in dealing with seniors with dementia.
Successful caregiver will undergo orientation to ensure good resource for building circle of help and care.The caregiver must provide high quality of care to meet basic needs. Fluent in English is a must. The successful candidate must be able to provide proof of experienced as a caregiver or in a related occupation for a minimum of 1 year with an inclusion of 6 months with the same employer during the past 3 years.
The term f employment is a minimum of 24 months. The caregiver will work 5 days a week:8 hours/day:40 hours a week and is entitled for 2 days off a week.
Salary is 20/hour. Optional accommodation is provided for caregiver who decided to live in at no cost but this is not a mandatory requirement. WCB benefit upon start of work.
