URGENTLY NEED SENIOR CAREGIVER IN MY PRIVATE HOME
We are currently looking to hire a LIVE-IN Home Care / Caregiver for a 74-yr old gentleman with Alzheimer and Dementia for a private residence. The location is Edmonton, Alberta in our private home.

Salary Wage $15.00 to $17.00 / Hour for 30 to 44 Hours / Week (negotiable depending on experience). Possible overtime for medical appointments or after 6:30pm on call basis.

Hours of Work: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 8 hours (8:30am to 4:30pm ), Wednesday, Saturday- 6 hours (9:30am to 12:30pm, 3:30pm to 6:30pm). Possible overtime for medical appointments or after 6:30pm on call basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Language of work: English
Education: Health Care Aid Certificate or higher
Experience: Minimum 1 year caregiving experience with seniors
Security and Safety: Driver’s validity license check; driving record check (abstract); Criminal record check, Reference required
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s license

Specific Skills: Feed or assist in feeding, Change non-sterile dressings, Shop for food and household supplies, Provide personal care, Provide companionship, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, Launder clothing and household linens, Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), Administer medications, Administer bedside and personal care, Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Weight Handling: Between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs.)
