Position: Chef
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $18 – $25.00/hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 30-40 hours/week
Benefits:
· 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
· Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
· Maintain records of food costs, sales and inventory
· Purchase kitchen supplies and ingredients
· Manage and train kitchen staffs and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely manner
· Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
· Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers
· Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients
· Supervise activities of cooks and kitchen staffs
Educational Requirements:
· Secondary school
Experience Requirements:
· 2~3 years work experience as a chef is required
Language Requirements:
· English
