Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $35.40~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 9551 87 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L 4N3

Benefits:

• 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Oversee the work of cooks and other kitchen staff.
• Introduce cooking staff to new techniques and equipment.
• Develop menus and ensure that all food meets established quality standards.
• Prepare dishes tailored to customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Cook and prepare meals or specialty dishes as needed.
• Manage the recruitment and hiring of kitchen staff.
• Coordinate the purchase and repair of kitchen equipment.
• Order food and other necessary kitchen supplies.
• Train cooks in food preparation, cooking techniques, garnishing, and presentation.
• Supervise and provide guidance to cooks and other kitchen personnel.
• Keep accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.

Job Requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
