6 Bricklayers Required ASAP
KGH Equipment Ltd. in Chilliwack, BC is looking for six (6) permanent full-time Bricklayers start immediately.
Starting wage $34.00 and your wage will be reviewed periodically with potential increases based on performance. Hours are 32-40 per week, overtime if required.
Job Location: 7350 Barrow Road, Chilliwack, BC, V2R4J8 (will work at various project sites in the Chilliwack region)
Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible
Job Type: Full-time, permanent position
Requirements:
- Min 4 years’ bricklaying experience
- Completion of high school
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. continuously
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Ability to work long hours standing as well as complete physically demanding work as required
- Various data collection and tracking (timesheet, quantities, daily journal)
Duties and responsibilities:
- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
- Cut and trim bricks, concrete blocks, paving stone and cultured stone to specification using hand and power tools
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, paving stone, similar materials to construct or repair walls, foundations and other structures in residential and commercial construction
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to surface residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing to walls or other surfaces
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
- Lay bricks, paving stone or other masonry units to build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations
- May restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures.
- Keeps tools clean
- Complete other tasks as require
