Description
Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $17.00 – 20.00 /hour (Depending on experience)
Hours: 30 – 40 hr/week
Benefits:
- 4% vacation pay
- Paid ½ sick day per month
Job Duties:
- Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Engage children in activities such as stories and songs.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and concerns of children
- Organize and maintain equipment and may be asked to assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
Job requirements:
- ECEA Certificate is required
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate is required
- 1 ~ 2 years of Experience in Child Care is required
Educational Requirements:
- Completion of a BC Government-approved Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate Program is required.
