Academics Prekindergarten South Vancouver is looking for F/T Early childhood Educator

Position:
Early childhood Educator

Terms of employment:
Full-time, Permanent

Wage:
$19.00 ~ 22.00/Hour (depending on experience)

Working Hour:
30 – 40 hrs/week

Benefits:
4% Vacation pay

Job Duties:

Assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs and discuss problems or progress with other ECE or parents
Provide indoor and outdoor activities to develop creativity for children in the means of art, play, music, or physical activities
Develop programs to promote development of children
Plan activities for school-age children in before and after school care programs
May be asked to supervise or assist in coordinating activities of other ECE colleagues
Teach and assist children in learning proper daily habits such as eating, dressing, using washroom
Maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Order necessary supplies and equipment
Assist ECE colleagues or supervisor in digitizing records
Participate in developing guidelines for behavior during meeting with ECE colleagues and supervisor in establishing

Experience requirements:
Experience as Early Childhood Education worker is an asset.

Educational Requirements:
College Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education is required.
