Salary:

$21.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.

Other Benefits:

None; other than employer EI & CPP contributions

Vacation:

4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work:

35.0-40.0 Hours a week. Overtime applicable at the rate of 1.5 after 44 hours of work per week

Major Responsibilities:

  • General Office administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, data entry
  • Act as a first line of contact for the customers/agency employees, answer generic enquires, take messages and convey further
  • Manage client/employee files with their up to date contact information, upload any correspondence received from the client their electronic files
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and prepare/post advertisements
  • Perform other administrative tasks that support the recruitment function. Assist in collecting resumes and conducting interview processes
  • Respond to changes in schedules from the employers and communicate these to the candidates
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and on terms and conditions of the employment
  • Co-ordinate the flow of information internally with the other employees
  • Calculate and maintain timesheets for the employees and submit data for the payroll cheques
  • Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and file a copy of them in respective client files
  • Order and maintain a sufficient level of office supplies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the office
  • Perform support work with regards to employee relations initiatives and payroll processing.
  • Maintain current data base of offer letters, independent contractor agreements, and agency agreement templates

Specific Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative position is required; Administrative experience in an employment agency an asset
  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
