Position: Assistant Pastry Cook

Working Hours: 40hrs per week, 5 days a week, may have to work overtime if needed

Work Shift: It can be daytime, evening, weekends and/or holidays

Wage: $21.00~22.00(depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Main duties

  • Bake pastry items according to pre-established recipes
  • Prepare desserts, pastries, and other baked goods according to restaurant recipes
  • Follow plating and display standards
  • Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and merchandise
  • Properly label and store ingredients
  • Maintain quality control procedures
  • Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment and supplies
  • Prepare and maintain ingredients, tools, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain work areas and kitchen equipment
  • Follow all sanitation, health, and safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate and relate effectively at the workplace
  • Assist in preparing all types of pastry and dessert items using standard recipes
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Employment Requirements



     
  •  Completion of secondary school
    •  
  •  Combination of completion of culinary school or commercial work experience maybe required
    •  
  •  Minimum 1year of pastry-making experience preferred
