Position Info:

• Position: Barber
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $25.00~$28.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 2808 Main Street, Vancouver, BC V5T 3G2

Job Duties:

• Greet walk-in clients, assisting them with quick access to preferred hairstylists or booking appointments
• Cut and trim hair as clients’ requested
• Shape facial hair; shave and trim beards and mustaches
• Provide shampooing and scalp conditioning massages
• May supervise apprentices and other barbers in training if needed
• Keep up with the quantity of hair-care supplies in the inventory to order
• Maintain a hygienic environment by disinfecting haircutting tools and sanitizing the workstation regularly
• Recommend hair style compatible with client's physical features or determine style from client's instructions and preferences

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a barber is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
