Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $28.00~$36.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~44 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 709 8 street #108, Canmore, AB T1W 2V2

Job Duties:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations
• Develop and implement menus, maintaining high-quality standards while optimizing ingredient usage and controlling costs
• Monitor inventory and food supply needs, preparing accurate estimates for food and labor costs to maintain budget efficiency
• Supervise and lead the kitchen team, including sous-chefs and cooks, by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee procurement and maintenance of kitchen equipment, arranging necessary purchases and repairs to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Recruit, hire, and manage staff, establishing clear roles and responsibilities to foster a productive and professional work environment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and food safety.
• Take a role in food preparation and cooking, particularly for high-profile guests or special events.

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
