Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 3855 Sunset Street, Burnaby BC V5G 1T4

Benefits:

• 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay
• Medical and Dental after 3 months of employment

Job Duties:

• Develop child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Provide children with opportunities to express their creativity through fun and diverse activities
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
• Help and assist children build proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Observe children’s progress& behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents and supervisors
• Keep a healthy environment that protects well-being and security of children
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
