Job Title: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Coach
Business Address: #2 – 11240 Bridgeport Road. Richmond, BC – V6X 1T2
Terms of Employment: Full time, permanent position. Start as soon as possible
Wage: at least CAD $23.33 – 34.62
Hours per week: 30 to 40 hours per week
Schedule: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, Weekend
Number of positions available: 1 (one)

Kaizen Martial Arts & Health Club is a family-focused facility that offers activities aimed at developing the physical and mental health of the community. The club's main activities are Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes, as it believes that the two sports complement each other and are fundamental for mental and physical development, regardless of the age of the practitioner.

Job Description:
Designing, organizing, and leading jiu jitsu training sessions.
Working on improving the skills and abilities of students to help them reach their full potential.
Creating and managing competition schedules and training programs.
Inspiring and preparing students for tournaments or competitive events.
Providing practical and emotional support to the team during classes and competition events;
Developing strategic game plans, guiding students during matches, and adjusting tactics during competitions.
Effectively participating in all activities (meetings, training, etc) of the Training Centre.
Reviewing and assessing the performance of students or teams, adjusting training plans as needed to improve outcomes.

Job Requirements:
– Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt 3 strips or above
– First Aid & CPR/AED level C (OFA 1)
– Experience as an athlete in international competitions organised by the international Jiu-Jitsu federation.
– Minimum of 5 years experience teaching Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for adult and kid’s classes
– Minimum of 5 years experience developing lessons and supporting students for international and national competitions.
– Intermediate English
– Speak Portuguese is an asset
