Business Development Support Specialist – International Business & Partnership

About Cape John Crabs & Seafood Ltd.:
Cape John Crabs & Seafood Ltd is a frozen cooked lobster, fresh lobster and other seafood wholesaler and importer located in Nova Scotia. It mainly imports its seafood to China and Taiwan.
Primary Job Duties:
- Analyze and expand business operations toward sustained growth in Canada and international market
- Monitor revenue streams from various product lines and identify opportunities to increase profitability and cross-selling strategies while reduce operations cost
- Design market research questionnaires, conduct market research and analyze data on buying habits and preferences of wholesale and retail consumers
- Design international marketing strategies and programs to increase market share globally and assist with establishing channel partnerships overseas
- Evaluate and improve sales through various marketing campaigns, design and build e-commerce platforms with IT teams to expand market and brand awareness globally
- Maintain and track sales record in the business management system, manage logistics, order placement, vendor relationships, customer utilization and technology
- Identify and develop new lines of business based on consumer behavior and perform competitor analysis toward obtaining an increased market share globally
- Develop client relationships and strengthen industry partnerships including wholesale distributors, logistic and manufacturing companies
- Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts to attract new business and enhancing organization reputation
- Close new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts
- Liaise with Sales, Marketing, and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue and build global partnerships
Minimum qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field is required
- 5+ years professional experience in business development or business support is required
- Previous experience in building and supporting global business partnerships is required
- Proven track record of working with rapidly changing deadlines and having an ability to move in a fast-paced environment
- Good team player with a history of working well across organizations with folks at the Director and Vice President level
- Minimum three years experience selling to C-level and minimum three years of solution selling in B2B space
- Strong business acumen with marketing or business consultation experience would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of information technology systems, e-commerce platforms and international trade experience would be considered an asset
- Willing to travel regionally or internationally
