Salary: $24.00/hr for 35-40 hrs/week

Job Brief:
Diamond Cabinets Ltd is looking to hire an experienced Cabinet maker to complete our team for our growing business with loads of opportunity. Candidate will be required to fabricate cabinet boxes and install cabinetry in client homes.
Job Duties:
- Able to interpret and develop cabinet designs and layouts by reading blueprints and drawings
- Provide cabinets repairs, refacing and replacing cabinets, anything from a broken drawer to a whole new kitchen
- Use various cabinet building techniques and methods of installation
- Operate woodworking machines such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
- Install, inspect, and repair woodwork, ensure customer satisfaction
- Manufacture and install custom cabinets and countertops including solid surface materials in new residential construction
- Build cabinets following quality construction procedure with high attention to details
- Measure and cut the bases, pedestals, housing, shelves, doors, drawers and tops
- Create cost and time estimates for cabinet making and installing project and have them approved by customers
- Clean up the sawdust, sand wooden surfaces, apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products
Job requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: Completion of Secondary school is required
- Experience: Previous experience of 2 to less than 3 years would be a definite advantage
Other Skills:
- Understands ‘safety first’
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Capable of working under minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel an asset
- Organized, self-motivated and energetic
- Working with your hands is essential and general use of tools is an asset
