Vansai Home Development Ltd. has an opening for a full-time Carpenter in Burnaby, BC. We are looking for someone who is reliable and able to follow company policy to ensure work is completed safely and effectively. Job Summary
Position Title: Carpenter (NOC 72310)
Positions Available: 1
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Position Type: Permanent, full time
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
Salary: $30 per hour
Benefits: 4% vacation pay; 2 weeks paid vacation after one year
Required Language: English
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare layouts using measuring tools, which conform to building codes and standards.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Analyze blueprints and drawings to determine building specifications and calculate requirements.
- Build foundations, install flooring and subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
- Fit/install trim, including doors, stairs, moulding, and hardware, etc.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and renovations to residences and other structures.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum secondary school graduation.
- Related education or training in construction, carpentry, or similar preferred but not required.
- 2 years of previous related experience.
