Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$22/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 3635 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam, V3B 3N9

Job Duties:

• Develop and execute childcare programs to enhance children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Lead activities involving storytelling, singing, and visits to local points of interest.
• Provide guidance to children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Manage daycare equipment and assist with housekeeping and cooking responsibilities.
• Evaluate children's abilities, interests, and needs, communicating progress or challenges with parents and fellow staff members.
• Foster collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers supporting children.
• Create and maintain a secure and healthy environment for children.
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

 

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
