CEFA MEADOWTOWN is looking for F/T, permanent Early Childhood Educators
Position: Early Childhood Educator
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $18.00-$20.00/hour (Depending on experience)
Working hours: 30-40 hour/week
Benefits:
- 10 day paid vacation per year OR 4% Vacation pay
Job Duties:
- Provide care and supervision for children in a day care program
- Develop and implement daily activities that support and promote the development of children
- Assist children with daily routines such as toileting, dressing, eating, and sleeping
- Prepare materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities
- Watch for, and remove, any safety hazards as well as maintaining a cleanly environment and day care equipment
- Discuss progress or challenges of children with parents and other staff members
- Build a good relationship with employees and community service providers working with children
- Attend meeting and workshops to develop and discuss new teaching methods and program meetings
- Assist with children’s individual behaviours and provide guidance to enrich children’s social development
Job requirements:
- Experience is an asset
Educational Requirements:
- College certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education
Certification requirements:
- ECE Certificate
- First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
Language Requirement:
- English
