Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $26.44~$29.44/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 3-1805 Rosser Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5C 6R4

 

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

 

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook individual items, complete meals, or specialty foods according to standardized recipes.
• Plan and design decorative food displays
• Create new menus and recipes following quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate costs
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• Ensure food meets quality standards
• May participate in hiring and training kitchen staff
• Co-operate with other staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food

 

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of experience as a chef are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
