Description
1. Share in program supervision in an environment that meets the social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional, needs of children and fosters the growth and development of the individual child within a group setting
2. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment for children always by ensuring proper use and maintenance of
equipment
3. Serve meals and assist children with eating, Organize, clean, and sanitize as required to maintain a healthy
environment
4. Lead children in activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, demonstrating the use of simple musical
instruments, preparing craft materials and demonstrating their use, providing opportunities for creative expression
through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical fitness, and taking the children to local points of interest
5. Assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
6. Assess the skills, abilities, interests and needs of children
7. Discuss progress or problems of children with parents and other staff members
8. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other community service providers working with
children
9. Maintain day-care equipment and assist in housekeeping duties.
10. Assist supervisor in keeping records
11. Submit written observations on children to Supervisor
12. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other community service providers working with
children
Language of Work: English
Education: Must have child care education related certificate/Diploma or degree, Must be Certified
Education: 6 months+ related job experience
