Stone Design Concepts Inc. is looking for ONE Permanent, Full-time Commercial Project Coordinator and Estimator who could join with us immediately. The details are given below.

Work Location:  2878 Sheffield Rd. Ottawa, ON K1B 3V9

Position:  Commercial Project Coordinator and Estimator

Position Available: ONE (1)

Wage: $33.10 per hour

Hours per week: 30 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
 

Job duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates and conduct research to obtain cost data on labor, materials, and production.
• Advise on tendering procedures, examine, and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards, and conduct negotiations with sub – trades.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements using RFMS (Measuring, estimating & Managing Software).
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and sub trades.
• Prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D)
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Consult and communicate with Contractors, Architects and Sub trades during construction process.
• Manage and co-ordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.

 

Skill Requirements:

 

• Completion of Secondary School is required
• 2 – 3 years of related experience is required
• Experience using Auto Cad, MS Office suite, Outlook
• Experience in Estimating & Scheduling packages, database
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
