Decon Construction Inc. is a small business in Brampton, ON L6X 2M1. We are professional, fast-paced, and demanding.

We are looking for a Construction Worker to join our team and assist in the completion of various construction projects. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the construction industry, be able to lift heavy objects, and have a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including demolition, digging trenches, mixing concrete, and cleaning up job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
• Clean and lubricate cranes
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
• Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
• Mix, pour and spread materials
• Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas
• Assemble tower cranes on site
• Assist heavy equipment operators
• Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side
• Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Assist in demolishing buildings
• Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
• Perform routine maintenance work
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Read and interpret blueprints

Salary: $27.00 per hour
