Chinese Hot Pot Buffet Restaurant, a Hot Pot restaurant located in Edmonton, has the following positions available:  Cook & Restaurant Assistant Manager

 A – Cook Wanted

 

Permanent full time cook wanted: 2 positions. Start wage is $16/hour. 35- 40 hours per week. Working time would be days, evenings, weekends and nights. Ability to work under pressure and have strong attention to detail.  English is required. High school diploma is required. Must have at least 3 years’ experience, Free Meal, Welcome Newcomer and first nation,

Cook Job Duties

Prepare & cook full meals or individual dishes and foods, Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas, Organize and manage buffets and banquets

 

B – Restaurant Assistant Manager wanted

 

Permanent full time Restaurant Assistant Manager wanted: 1 positions.  We pay $24.04/hour. 35 – 40 hours per week. Working time would be days, evenings, weekends, On Call and nights. Shift work required.  Ability to work under pressure and have strong attention to detail.  English is required. More than 3 years of management experience, Free Meal included

Job Duties:

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, Negotiate with clients for catering or parties, Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance, Address customers' complaints or concerns, Recruit, train and supervise Staff,  Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms, Cost products and services, Organize and maintain inventory

 

C – Food Service Supervisor wanted

Job detail:

Permanent, Full time , $15.50/hour, 35 Hours / Week, Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required. English is a must. More than 2 to less than 3 years of experience at a similar work setting. Free Meal included.  Employment Conditions: Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend

Job duty:

Supervise and co-ordinate staff who prepare and portion food, order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality, Maintain records of stock, Prepare and submit reports, Make work schedules, Train staff in job duties, Hire food service staff, Prepare budget and cost estimates, Deal with customers' complaints or concerns
