Job Duties
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods as per menu and restaurant standards
- Ensure the food quality is superb every time
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Oversee kitchen operations and staff by scheduling and supervising kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Follow safe food handling procedures at all times
- Keep the work area, utensils, and production equipment in a clean and sanitized state
- Organize and manage buffets and banquets
Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: No formal education
Experience: 2+ years of commercial cooking experience. Experience in Thai cuisine is an asset.
Note: Applicants with a culinary certificate or cooking diploma will be considered with 1 year or less experience
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, stand for extended periods, repetitive tasks, attention to detail.
