Café La Forêt in Burnaby, BC is looking for a cook to work with our team.

Title: Cook

Opening: 2 positions (Permanent, Full-time)

Salary: CAD 19.00 – 22.00 per hour

Working Hours: At least 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation

Location: 6848 Jubilee Avenue, Burnaby, BC, V5J 4B3

Benefit:

·       Extended health and dental benefits after 6 months of employment

Qualifications:  

·       Completion of secondary school education

·       Previous commercial cooking experience is an asset

Main Duties:

·       Prepare and cook dishes including pizza, pasta, soup, waffles, and sandwiches

·       Plan menu and determine food portions and size

·       Oversee kitchen operations

·       Ensure to maintain high quality of foods

·       Manage the inventory of food ingredients and supplies

·       Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff

·       Clean and sanitize kitchen and work area
