Cook (2 Positions)
Job Type: Permanent full Time.
Start wage: $17.5/hour. 35-40 hours per week.
Working time: Days, mornings, evenings, nights and weekends.
Job Duties:
- Determine the size of food portions and costs;
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization;
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies;
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances;
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas;
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers;
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
- Manage kitchen operations.
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma is required.
- prefer to have at least 3 years of experience in cooking and related fields, equivalency considered.
Kitchen Helper (3 Positions)
Job Type: Permanent full Time.
Start wage: $16/hour. 35-40 hours per week.
Working time: Days, mornings, evenings, nights and weekends.
Job Duties:
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware;
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand;
- Scour pots and pans;
- Package take-out food;
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items;
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas;
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash;
- Sharpen kitchen knives;
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors;
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma is required. Equivalence considered.
