Early Childhood Educator
Rising Star Learning (Commercial) Ltd. dba CEFA Early Learning in Vancouver, BC is looking for a Full-time, Permanent Early Childhood Educator.
Conditions
- Position: Early Childhood Educator (NOC 4214)
- Full-Time, Permanent position, 30-40 hours/week (shifted schedule)
- Hourly Wage: $18.00 – $21.00/hour (wage to be determined based on experience and skills)
- Vacation: 4% gross salary or 10 days paid vacation
- Benefit: Medical Benefits, Extended Health Benefits after 6 months of probation

Requirements:
- College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Previous work experience in child care is an asset
- Credentials: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and ECE (Early Childhood Educator) Certificate
- Criminal Record Check
- Language: English
Job Duties;
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Lead activities and engage children by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, demonstrating the use of simple musical instruments, and preparing crafts
- Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
