Education
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)
First Aid Certificate; Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Experience
1 year to less than 2 years
Experience with Special Needs Children
Children who are blind or visually impaired; Children who are deaf or hard of hearing; Children with a physical disability; Children with an intellectual disability; Children with behavioural issues; Children with a mental health disability; Children with allergies
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings; Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children; Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts; Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors

Early Childhood Educators Specific Skills
