Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 3069 Highview Street, Victoria, BC V8T 3V7

Benefits:

• 5 days of paid sick leave per year

Job Duties:

• Create and implement childcare programs that encourage and support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
• Maintain daycare equipment and an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
• Provide opportunities for children to express creativity through creative and diverse activities
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problem and prepare reports for parents or supervisor
• Help children build proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
• Engage in staff meetings to discuss children’s development and difficulties

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
