New Age Robotics is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team and to contribute to the development of our company. The successful candidate will participate to all aspects of the developed product from design, programing, troubleshooting and development, being responsible for the varying stages of designs through programming and commissioning of control systems. Electrical/pneumatic AutoCAD design. Programming of all types of PLCs and HMIs. Programming of Robots. Design, install and troubleshoot Safety Systems for robotic cells. Integration of third party systems as part of factory automation machines.

 

With over 30 years of experience in this field our company assists customers in all stages of a project from concept and electrical and mechanical design to implementation, service, training, and maintenance. Using the latest technology to create and maintain flexible automation systems we are currently looking for an experienced, innovative specialist in Industrial Electronics and Controls – repair to the component level of industrial equipment, highly experienced in electrical design and programming using programmable logic controllers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, installation, programming and troubleshooting of robotic cells –  Control System Architectures, PLC programs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Click, Wago, DoMore, ProductivityOpen), HMI programming (both standalone and PC based), Safety Controllers, Drives, Robots, Servo systems, Vision systems, SCADA systems, control panels and instrumentation;
  • Programming of various automation technologies (robots, vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, etc.) into integrated industrial systems;
  • Responsible for the design, installation, administration and troubleshot of company’s LAN, WAN and WLAN (including cybersecurity);
  • Responsible for programing and troubleshooting of ABB, Panasonic, Motoman, Kuka and Fanuc Robots;
  • Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design, engineering designs, drawings;
  • Implement and monitor encryption algorithms and cryptography security in industrial networks;
  • Project management to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and to the highest levels of safety and quality;
  • Provide access to all IT network services;
  • Responsible for changes to the IT infrastructure;
  • Responsible for Configuration Management of IT infrastructure;
  • Support the maintenance team with remote troubleshooting and problem solving;
  • Design and implement a variety of fiber, wired and wireless systems using DF1, EtherNet/IP, ModBus, DH+, DH485 protocols;
  • Responsible for monitoring cyber security risks and for developing vulnerability mitigation techniques in SCADA and PLC networks;
  • Responsible for EtherNet/IP secure communication using encryption algorithms and cryptography security;
  • Responsible for designing and implementing cellular broadband for SCADA/DCS systems based on ISA S99;
  • Responsible with cryptography security designs for real time MODBUS transmissions and MODBUS broadcasting communication;
  • Support, design, develop, enhance, and implement computer application systems and programs;
  • Responsible for providing 24/7 first tier support.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is a MUST;
  • 15+ years of designing, installing, programming and repair of the industrial and automation equipment experience (PLC programming, Control Systems Design, Robotic Systems Design/Programming/Troubleshooting);
  • Must be proficient with PLC, HMI, Robotics programming and AutoCAD;
  • Excellent understanding of automation protocols DF1, Ethernet/IP, MelsecNet, BACnet, M-Bus, DH+, DH485, Profinet;
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as C/C++, Python, Bash, JavaScript;
  • MODBUS transmissions and MODBUS broadcasting communication experience;
  • Strong background in programming and simulation systems (SCADA/DCS), PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Click, Wago, DoMore, ProductivityOpen), HMI programming (both standalone and PC based);
  • Strong background in design, deploy and admin of Control Systems;
  • Architectures and protocols knowledge;
  • Algorithmic development;
  • Inter-system communication (SPI, I2C);
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Experience in developing technical papers on the subject and communication with clients at various levels of seniority;
  • Advanced knowledge of CAD software;
  • Available for international travel;
  • Available to work weekends and overtime;
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Excellent independent judgement and reasoning.

 

This is a permanent, full time position (40 hours /week).

Salary: Between $ 40.00 – $ 45.00/hour, TBD
