F/T Coffee Shop Supervisor/Coffee Quality Control Supervisor
Nemesis Coffee Holdings Inc. dba Nemesis Coffee & Roasting is seeking a fulltime Coffee Shop Supervisor/Coffee Quality Control Supervisor.
Job Description/Duties:
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of our baristas and cashiers
- Ensure high levels of quality coffee and service is delivered throughout
- Responsible for our coffee quality control and establish & ensure our quality standard
- Responsible for training new team members and/or current team members in both coffee and customer services
- Responsible for training and supervising our team members in sanitation and safety procedures
- Responsible when needed to open and close the café, including cashing up
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for smooth operation of the cafe
- Create, maintain and revise work schedules for the staff and may fill in shifts when other staff is unavailable
- Keep records of the coffee and food inventory and work with venders to place orders for food and supplies
- Responsible for maintenance of and cleaning of coffee machine
- Respond to customer issues and ensure the happiness of customers
- Ongoing training and support in coffee making for the café
- Participate in creating new menus with a solid and updated knowledge of coffee industry
- Report to and communicate well with Store Manager
- Other duties assigned by Store Manager
Education:
- Completion of secondary school
Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years of working experience as Barista in coffee shop, including one year experience supervising a coffee shop and/or coffee quality control
- Able to do all the above duties
- Solid and updated knowledge and skills of coffee making/coffee industry
- Award-winning barista experience/skills
- Certificate in Barista Training as asset
Language:
- Communication skills in English
Compensation:
- $15.50 to 17.50/hour, 40hrs/week, 4% vacation pay
