Main duties
- Represent company to survey, quote, plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate projects with external and internal parties from start to finish on schedule, on specifications and on budgets.
- Responsible for bidding, budgeting, estimating, and tendering for lump sum, as well as competitive bid projects.
- Direct the purchase of materials with administration department to provide enough lead time for production team.
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, developers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Plan, prepare, coordinate, and supervise on production, installation and payment schedules and milestones. Monitor progress against established schedules on both internal and external parties.
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Develop and implement quality control inspections, organize, and coordinate engineer site visits with the client, ensure all qualifications are met and inspections are passed.
- Work with administration department to interview and supervise the subcontractors and subordinate staff.
- Coordinate with and support manufacturing department and installation department, Architectural engineers, Administration department and clients. Design a remedy plan in case of disagreement with internal and external parties.
- Report to the executive director of the company
Employment requirements
- A college diploma in field of business, engineering, construction technology from an accredited university is required;
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an asset;
- 5+ years of management experience in relevant field with 10+ years of manufacturing experience is required.
Others:
- Candidates with professional theoretical knowledge of lean manufacturing management will be given a priority.
- Familiarity with project management is a must.
- Good at communication and exchanges, strong human resources organization, management and training capabilities.
- Exceptional time management skills, attention to details, team player and leadership skills.
- Ability to multi- task, independence and prioritise multiple projects.
