Framing Carpenter

IBS Construction Ltd. is looking for Full-time 2 Framing Carpenters who could join us immediately. The details are given below.

Work Location: Various Job sites in Surrey

Office Address: 7620 125 Street, Surrey, BC, V3W 7W3

Salary: $29 per hour

Positions: 2

Hours per week: 30 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Job duties and Responsibilities: 

 

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications.

• Prepare layouts according to building codes.

• Measure and mark cutting lines on frames, floorings using hand or power tools.

• Fit and install trim items like doors, stairs, molding and hardware

• Shape or cut materials made of wood and other materials to specified measurements, using hand tools or machines.

• Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures in residential establishments

• Construct foundations, put in floor beams, lay subflooring and elevate walls and roof systems

• Maintains a safe and clean work environment

Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, combination of sitting, standings and walking

Skill Requirements:

• Secondary School 

• 1-2 years of related experience
