Responsibilities as a Drywall Installer (NOC Code-73102)
1. Measure and mark cutting lines on drywall, following design plans andspecifications.
2. Position and secure drywall sheets and Attach drywall panels to ceilingsand interior walls.
3. Tape over joints by embedding joint tape and apply additional coats ofcompound to seams and screw heads, ensuring a smooth finish.
4. Sand the dried compound to create a seamless surface.
5. Repair and patch holes, cracks, and other imperfections in existing drywallsurfaces.
6. Inspect completed drywall installations to ensure they meet building codesand company standards.
7. Make any necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality work.
8. Interpret and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and workorders to determine the layout and installation procedures.
9. Load, unload, and transport drywall sheets and other materials to andfrom the job site.
10. Store materials safely to prevent damage.
11. Follow all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents andinjuries.
12. Work with other construction professionals to ensure coordinated effortsand smooth workflow.
13. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members aboutproject progress and any issues that arise.
14. Maintain, clean tools and equipment used and report any damaged ormalfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
15. Clean up the work area after completing the installation, ensuring it isfree of dust and debris.
