We are looking for Handypersons at 1050 Paignton House Road, Minett, ON P0B 1G0, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs in guest rooms, common areas, and hotel facilities to ensure everything is in working order and well-maintained.

  • Respond to guest requests for repairs within their rooms, such as fixing plumbing issues, repairing electrical fixtures, and addressing any room-specific maintenance needs promptly.

  • Perform repairs and upkeep on hotel furniture, fixtures, and fittings, including fixing broken chairs, repairing damaged doors, and ensuring all hardware is secure.

  • Conduct safety inspections and maintenance on fire prevention equipment, emergency lighting, and other safety features throughout the hotel to ensure compliance with regulations and guest safety.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations, such as water leaks, power outages, or malfunctioning equipment, to minimize guest inconvenience and ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.

  • May perform other duties reasonably assigned by the manager. 

 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years

Language: English

 

Hourly Rate: $21.14 to $ 30.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
