Description
Position: Early Childhood Educator
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $20.50 ~ 22.00/Hour (depending on experience)
Working Hour: 30 – 40 hrs/week
Location: 120-8740 Alexandra Road, Richmond, BC, Canada V6X 4K6

Job Duties:
- Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well-being of the children
- Recognize and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques
- Evaluate the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss problems/progress with parents and with management regularly
- Plan and implement childcare programs to promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards
- Ensure that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe
- Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating, dressing, toilet habits
- Schedule and maintain weekly and monthly activities
- Maintain policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies
- Attend staff meetings as directed by management
- Must be able to relate to children on their level, without losing sight of teaching objective
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by superior
Experience requirements:
- Experience as Early Childhood Educator in a child-care providing facilities is an asset.
Educational Requirements:
- College Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education in BC is required.
Certificate Requirements:
- First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
- E.C.E. Certificate
Language Requirements: Proficient level of English is required.
