Voyagecare Health Services urgently needs 1 Health Care Aide to commence immediately.
Location: 606-99 Shahi Street, Winnipeg, MB
Starting Wage: $ 19.40 an hour, 40 hours per week plus overtime pay in excess of 40 hours, full-time/permanent status
Benefits: Manitoba legislated benefits, free meals and transportation, health coverage, paid holidays
Language: English
Education: Secondary Education and on -the- job training or nursing aide or related education . Completion of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
( CPR) and first aid is usually required.
Experience in hospital and and home care facility setting is an asset
Job Skills Requirements: English verbal communication skills, listening, create a safe, effective environment, health promotion and maintenanance,patient service, training dependability, emotional control and teamwork
Conditions of Employment: repetitive tasks, fast-paced environment, flexible hours and may render extended hours
Job Duties: answer call signals; supply and empty bed pans; bathe, dress, and groom patients; serve meal trays, feed/assist in feeding patients ; take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse ; report or record fluid intake and output; observe or monitor patient's status and document patient care on charts ; carry messages , reports requisitions and specimens between departments; make beds and maintain patient's rooms.
