Heavy-duty Cleaner Job Openings for 2 Full-Time Permanent Positions
Job Start Date: As soon as possible
Job duties: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs, operate industrial vacuum
cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse, empty trash cans and other
waste containers, wash windows, interior walls and ceilings, clean and disinfect bathrooms and
fixtures, work with minimal supervision. Will also help supervise our light duty cleaners.
Languages: English
Wage: $27.50/hour and 40 hours a week part-timers welcome to apply.
Benefits: As per Alberta Employment Standards
Work Locations: In and around the City of Edmonton
Skills Requirements: Administrative and Coordination Skills. Contact contractors for repairs and
maintenance of the establishment, Supervise other workers
Equipment Operated/Used: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning
machine, Upholstery cleaning equipment
Specific Skills: Assist cleaners in performing duties, Recommend or arrange for additional
maintenance services
Education: Secondary (High) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Work Setting: Office building, Commercial building, Industrial facility or establishment, Hotel,
motel, resort, School or educational institution/establishment, Private residence, Commercial
facility
Needed Credential: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Employment conditions: An applicant should be flexible with regards to being available in the
following different times of day/shifts. Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend,
Night, Flexible hours. Reason being as we have cleaning contracts which require a flexible work
schedule to meet our clients cleaning demands.
