Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Mining)

Job:

5 positions for BC

Rate : 55$ to 60$ per hour

2 weeks 2 weeks out rotation

Flights paid from major airports. Accommodation supplied.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair large mobile mining equipment.

Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and Preventative Maintenance services.

Service and repair equipment in the field.

Clearly write reports, cross overs and daily time detailing work performed and problems found.

Have a level of professionalism, organization, safety and skills set the meets or exceeds industry standards.

Qualifications:

BC or Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification required.

2 years field experience preferred.

Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu, John Deere heavy equipment.

Strict safety and attendance record.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products ie. Word, Excel and Outlook. As well as computer knowledgeable.

Knowledge of SIS and ET and other electronic diagnostic tools.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to lift 80 pounds is required.

Willingness to work in adverse and extreme conditions.

Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to follow direction and proper procedures.
