Main duties
- Develop policies and administer programs to promote business expansion and investment.
- Design market research questionnaires; Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for construction industry.
- Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional or national areas to assess development potential and future trends
- Develop and improve company’s project management system to ensure cost effective and efficient operation.
- Prepare company, construction industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefing notes and correspondence.
- Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to attract venture capital
- Review and evaluate development proposals and provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval
- Provide investment advice and recommendations, analyze investment projects.
- Plan development projects and co-ordinate activities with representatives of a wide variety of industrial and commercial enterprises, community and business associations and government agencies
- Plan short- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance.
- Develop, implement and use tools for managing and analyzing financial portfolio.
- Advise on and participate in the financial aspects of contracts, subcontractors and calls for tender.
- Evaluate customer service and construction site environments.
- Develop and review company’s process and procedure to ensure occupational health and safety (OHS) program are followed and to prevent injuries and illness in the workplace.
- Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses.
- With assistance from CPA, complete payroll, tax, bill and related government documents forms; keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems; Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
Employment requirements
· A university degree in a relevant field of business administration, management, commerce, finance, economics etc. from an accredited university is required
· Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an asset.
· 3+ years of work experience in relevant fields experience is required
· Candidates with prior experience of finance, investment, management and business development will be given a priority.
· Exceptional time management skills, attention to details, team player and leadership skills.
· Ability to multi- task, independence and prioritise is a must
