Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor at Hearthstone Inn – Port Hawkesbury performs a variety of duties. Housekeeping Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members and checking private and public areas for tidiness. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards;
- Establish work schedules;
- Co-ordinate work activities with other departments;
- Assist cleaners in performing duties; Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers;
- Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services
- Trains newer or less experienced team members in their tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years’ experience in motel industry
