Description
Looking for home child care provider who can provide care to a child (5 years old) on an ongoing basis. Caregiver will be responsible for care, well-being, physical and social development of child. He/She will be assisting parents with child care and may assist with household duties. They will be providing care primarily in our own home.
Job will be full time (35-40 hours per week)
Pay rate: $16.00-16.50 per hour (depends on work experience), Vacation pay, medical insurance and relocation cost will be covered by the employer.
Job duties are listed below:
Supervise and care of child in employer’s or own residence
Bathe,Dress, feed and prepare meals
Prepare and serve meals to the child and may perform other housekeeping duties
Oversee child activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home Instruct the child in personal hygiene
Tend to the emotional well-being of child and support his social development
Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents
Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Take the child to and from school and appointments
May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child.
Language: English
Preference will be given to Canadian PR or Citizens
Employment requirements Completion of secondary school may be required. One to Two years work experience is recommended or completion of a training program in child care or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to perform work is usually required. First aid certification and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training may be required.
