Eagle View Child Development Center is looking for an Infant/Toddler Educator to work with us at our facility located at 1568 Eagle Run Drive, Brackendale, BC. We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, and most importantly, understand children’s growth and development and enjoying working with them.
Title: Infant/Toddler Educator
Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Wage: CAD 20.00 – CAD 22.00 per hour (ECE wage enhancement will be paid separately)
Hours of Work: At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation
Location: 1568 Eagle Run Drive, Brackendale, British Columbia V0N 1H0
Requirements:
- College certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Early Childhood Educator and Infant/Toddler Educator Certificates
- Related work Experience an asset
Main Duties:
- Plan and facilitate programs and activities suitable for infants and toddlers
- Maintain a friendly relationship with infants, toddlers and their parents
- Monitor and assist infants and toddlers with daily routines such as toileting, dressing, eating, and sleeping
- Talk, sing, and read to infants and toddlers
- Respond quickly and properly to infants’ cries
- Observe infants and toddlers for any signs of emotional problems and learning disabilities
- Share information regarding the learning progress of infants and toddlers with parents and other educators
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, and assist in regular housekeeping duties
- Assist manager in keeping records
