Responsibilities
Tasks
• Create and organize plans, steps, and scripts to test software systems and ensure they work correctly and perform well.
• Run tests on information systems, software programs, and related hardware to find bugs, defects, and areas to improve.
• Write down and record test results, compare them to what was expected, and note any differences or problems found.
• Look at and understand test data to check the quality of software and how well the system works.
• Work closely with software developers and engineers to understand system needs, report what you find, and give feedback for fixing issues.
• Run tests again after code changes to ensure new changes don’t cause problems with existing functions.
• Create and keep automated testing scripts and frameworks to make testing more efficient and consistent.
• Helped with user acceptance testing, working with end-users to ensure the systems met their needs and expectations.
• Set up and maintain testing environments to match production systems accurately for reliable testing results.
• Find, fix, and solve software performance, functionality, and compatibility issues.
• Take part in ongoing improvement efforts, suggesting ways to make testing methods and tools better.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
• Make sure all testing activities follow relevant standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Create detailed reports on testing activities, results, and recommendations for stakeholders.
