Iqra Education Society (IES) is a non-profit charitable organization that is committed to the development and delivery of top-quality educational services that honor and promote moderate mainstream Islamic values. Since its inception, IES has worked diligently to promote Islamic thought, promote common values with other Canadian communities, establish centers of learning, and build permanent roots within the Canadian community.

In an age of misunderstanding and misinformation, the society continuously facilitates the development of a friendly and open relationship between Canadian Muslims and the broader Canadian community.

Job duties:

• Develop and design integrated curriculum that merges religious and academic content using innovative IB “International Bacheloria” teaching strategies.
• Conduct research to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, programs, and curricula and share findings with the board to drive improvements.
• Create and structure new educational programs, analyse their cost-effectiveness and impact, and present them to administration.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate research and program outcomes and best practices to the board.
• Develop and update instructional materials and resources to support effective program delivery.
• Manage community outreach, cultural initiatives, religious events and student activities.
• Serve as a liaison between the institution and the community to foster cultural integration and support.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by educational leadership to address evolving program needs.

Qualifications:

• Degree in education along with at least 2 years of recent related curriculum development experience.
•  Primary Years Program (PYP) certificate is an asset.
• Strong reference is a must.
• Arabic language is an asset.
