Description
Position: Chef
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $19 – $22/hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 30 – 40 hours/week
Benefits:
- 10days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods
- Manage and supervise activities of cooks
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Create new recipes
- Recruit and hire cooks and kitchen staffs
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
- Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Educational Requirements:
- Secondary school
Experience Requirements:
- 2~3 years of experience in commercial food preparation are required
Language Requirements:
- English
