Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, demonstrating exceptional skills in food preparation, customer service, and restaurant management. As the Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while fostering a positive work environment for your team.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews and hire new kitchen staff, fostering a strong team culture.
- Monitor food costs and waste to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including inventory management and cost control.
- Previous experience in interviewing and training staff is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
