Wages: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour, 30-44 hours a week

Oakridge Landscape is currently looking for a Landscape Technician to join their team based out of Hannon, Ontario. Their Landscape Technicians are responsible to assess, design, construct and maintain landscaped environments to the satisfaction of clients and end users. This includes advising clients on various design and construction aspects of ongoing projects
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Survey and assess sites as it relates to designing, constructing and maintaining landscaped environments;
Ø Prepare drawings, sketches and reports necessary to deliver and/or maintain landscaping projects, read and interpret blueprints;
Ø Assist contracted landscape architects/engineers in designing landscaped environments;
Ø Plan and construct landscaped environments including trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures;
Ø Assist management as required in developmental stages from concept to project delivery;
Ø Participate in company safety training.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Ø Must have a University or College degree in Landscaping Management, Civil Engineering or Architectural Design, or related field.
Ø Minimum 1 year of experience as a professional landscaper and/or landscape designer or related field is required.
Ø Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner;
Ø Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
Ø Steel-toed safety boots are required;
Ø Own vehicle, Valid driver's license, Driving record check (abstract);
Ø Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Combination of sitting, standing, walking;
Ø Proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, AutoCAD.
